Women’s Ministries

OUR PURPOSE

Our purpose is for every woman to know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.  This can be accomplished as each woman in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church meets regularly for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship, and seeks to serve others as God so directs.  A biblical strategy for encouraging and equipping women to share their gifts and graces for the mutual good, and to maintain a holy fellowship, is found in Titus 2:1-5.  The Titus mandate for women to nurture women should be the driving force of a women's ministry because this is part of our covenant privilege and responsibility.

• "Ladies' Lunch Bunch" - May 23rd at Marco's Trattoria, 204 W. Main Street at 12:30 p.m.
  

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

• Collecting diapers (size 3, 4, 5) for Center for Women
• Making eye pillows for Transylvania Hospital

UPCOMING BIBLE STUDIES

• Summer Bible Study- will begin June 14 and end August 16.  This will be a Beth Moore study entitled James - Mercy Triumphs. Join us on Thursday mornings from 10:00 until 12:00.

• Fall Bible Study - will begin September 13th and will cover the Book of Ruth.  This study will be taught by Ellie Silman (5 weeks)

Women's Fall Retreat - October 26, 27 at Ridge Haven.  This is the WNC Presbytery's retreat and will enjoy special speaker Matt Howell (RUF pastor at Appalachian State University.  Matt will speak about "Standing Strong in Every Stage" using the life of Paul as an example.
